Course Description:
Introduces the ethical, legal, and social issues arising in the use of computerized technology and information systems in the delivery of health care. Case studies are used to discuss the role of law in the design and implementation of health informatics systems; the U.S. health-care regulatory environment; and the structure, concepts, and process of decision making on health matters in legislative, administrative, and judicial bodies.
