Psychosocial Considerations for Health-Care Professionals
Course Description:
Examines interpersonal relationships among patients, families, health professionals, and society, with reference to the impact of and reaction to illness and disability. Students explore the role and impact of self-awareness on the dynamics of health-care interactions. Methodologies are utilized to demonstrate the roles of the various health professions and importance of interdisciplinary collaboration to maximize patient/client outcomes in this interdisciplinary course.
