Toward Accomplished Practice 3
Course Description:
Enables and supports participants as they develop proficiency in teaching practice as they learn pedagogical theory. Participants exhibit their understanding of theory through a variety of instructional activities including classroom teaching, microteaching in seminar, and analytic critique of instructional systems and materials. The participants’ work in the seminar integrates pedagogical knowledge, knowledge gained from clinical experience, and subject matter knowledge from discipline course work. Performance outcomes include demonstration of teaching practice at a proficiency commensurate with initial teacher licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
