Clinical Skills for Clinical Exercise Physiology
Course Description:
Introduces students to methods of clinical evaluation and exercise prescription for clinical exercise physiologists. Offers an opportunity to gain understanding of the rationale and methodology of clinical testing procedures commonly performed by clinical exercise physiologists. Covers how to obtain and interpret clinical data, how to select appropriate clinical tools for the evaluation of exercise and physical activity behavior, and methods for the evaluation of all components of physical fitness. Introduces students to methods for exercise prescription and primary and secondary prevention by application of current clinical guidelines.
