Employment Law-Job Security and Conditions
Course Description:
Surveys the legal and policy issues concerning the employment relationship, focusing on hiring and firing, job security, noncompetition agreements, job-related intellectual property, employer control of employee conduct, on- and off-duty rights, employee privacy, mass dismissals and plant closings, and employment arbitration. The problems of low-wage workers receive special emphasis.
