Course Title:

Introduction to Mathematical Methods and Modeling

			Course Description:

Introduces mathematical methods, emphasizing applications and modeling. Covers analytical and numerical methods for ordinary differential equations (ODEs); matrix methods, with applications to systems of ODEs and discrete time Markov chains; Laplace and Fourier transforms. Applications are chosen to illustrate the power and versatility of mathematical methods in a variety of applied fields. Uses computer projects throughout the course to further develop the connections between theory and applications.
