Course Title:

				Social Movements

			Course Description:

Focuses on the women’s movements that began in the late 1960s and then considers various political and theoretical developments in the more than thirty years since then. The goal is to consider the changes and reappraisals from the original social movement to more diverse and decentered movements, many based on identity, with the goal of constructing a fuller understanding of the range of oppositional theories, practices, and possibilities in contemporary American society.
