Course Description:
Provides students with an understanding of the principles, mechanisms, organs, cells, and molecules of the innate and adaptive immunity. Discusses monoclonal antibodies, organ transplant immunity, hypersensitivity, tolerance, tumor immunity, autoimmunity, and immunodeficiencies in light of potential therapeutic interventions. Requires weekly journal club-style presentation of related assigned topic.
