Healthy Promotion and Screening of Adult/Older Adult
Course Description:
Focuses on the assessment, preventative and health maintenance theories of primary health care utilized by advanced practice nurses. Includes the impact of political, psychological, sociological, and physiological factors on the health-care continua of the adolescent/adult/older adult. Considers the adult/family developmental life cycle continuum for assessing and instituting primary care strategies. Explores self-modeling of health behaviors and institution of primary and secondary preventative strategies in the home, community, workplace, and primary care facility.
