Course Description:
Continues NUR G481. Seeks to provide a clinical learning experience with groups, families, and organizations in psychiatric and community settings. Requires evaluation of the community project. Focuses on levels of prevention and promotion of mental health; synthesis of therapeutic techniques in working with complex systems; group process and termination issues related to work with clients, agency professionals, faculty, and student colleagues; and evaluation of clients‘ progress and students‘ accomplishments in weekly didactic seminar with faculty. Requires students to practice in the clinical setting approximately twenty hours per week.
