Acute-Care Nursing Practicum 2
Course Description:
Continues NUR G420. Designed to provide the student with individualized experiences in the role of practitioner, educator, and manager. Facilitated by assignment to a nurse preceptor, the student focuses on the provision of care to adults experiencing complex, critical, and chronic health/illness problems. The course seeks to demonstrate how to assess, diagnose, and manage illnesses in the acute-care, chronic, and/or rehabilitation setting. Concurrent weekly seminars focus on the roles of the advanced practice nurse. Requires students to practice in the clinical setting approximately twenty hours per week.
