Pathophysiology
Course Description:
Examines the mechanisms of human disease, emphasizing fundamental principles of cellular biology. Dedicates early sessions to understanding normal cell biology, cell vulnerabilities, and cellular responses to injury. Discusses systemic responses to injury including inflammation, immunity, and hemostasis. A detailed discussion of oncogenesis is followed by a system-by-system review of disease states.
