Introduces the profession of pharmacy in this one-credit course. Covers pharmacists’ responsibilities, pharmacy organizations, ethical issues related to health care, and the education and training of pharmacists. Offers students the opportunity to learn about the role of the pharmacist within different health-care systems. Guest speakers, from several areas of pharmacy practice, provide firsthand information on career options.
