Sexuality, Gender, and the Law
Course Description:
Uses case law, feminist theory, and queer theory to address doctrinal problems and justice concerns associated with gender and sexuality. Addresses itself principally to gender identity and sexual orientation (as opposed to sexism or traditionally women’s issues). Topics include privacy, same-sex marriage, sodomy, sexual harassment, and discrimination, among others. Students are expected to write a paper and share some of what they have learned with the class.
