Course Description:
Examines rights protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution. Focuses on the principles and processes developed by the judiciary to protect various forms of speech, expression, association, and religion. Also focuses on integrating doctrine with the core values of the First Amendment and on recent theoretical developments. Does not, except tangentially, deal with other parts of the Bill of Rights.
