Professional Responsibility
Course Description:
Focuses on the legal, ethical, and professional dilemmas encountered by lawyers. Emphasizes justice as a product of the quality of life that society provides to people rather than merely the process that the legal system provides once a crime or breach of duty has occurred. Seeks to provide students with a working knowledge of the American Bar Association’s Model Rules of Professional Conduct and the Code of Professional Responsibility, as well as an understanding of the underlying issues and a perspective within which to evaluate them. Examines the distribution of legal services to poor and nonpoor clients.
