Course Description:
Explores the basic principles of consumer and business bankruptcy. Examines how the bankruptcy process works, the underlying policies that purport to justify the way the law is written and construed, and the mechanics of applying key sections of the federal Bankruptcy Code. Relies primarily on problem solving and discussion to convey the liveliness and volatility of bankruptcy practice and to provide an introduction to strategic thinking in bankruptcy.
