Course Description:
Retired August 31, 2004; replaced by LW G482. Introduces students to methodologies in studying law and perspectives used in several disciplines in studying law and society. Examines such issues as normative vs. formative functions of law, social control vs. individual freedom, and the legal bases of conflict management in society. Coordinated by one instructor, but lectures are given by a number of faculty members affiliated with the program to provide students with a variety of perspectives.
