Enterprise Systems Architecture and Engineering
Course Description:
Extends the rudiments of C and Unix covered in ISY G200. Geared for students who want to explore the Unix operating system and deepen their understanding of the fundamentals of Unix. Topics include popular Unix tools and programs (vi, emacs, pipes, grep, and so on); Unix system calls (fork, exec, read, and write); introduction to Unix shells and scripting; static and dynamic libraries; use of make files; and software engineering project management from the perspective of the system developer. Requires a major term project using coding with advanced C/Unix techniques.
