Retired August 31, 2005; replaced by ETG 4336 in the School of Professional and Continuing Studies. Covers general dimensioning, symbols and their uses, datums, tolerances of form, orientation, and location. Emphasizes application to drawings, interpreting symbol meaning, and the use of formulas for fasteners. Gives an overview of the advantages of positional tolerancing, cost-effectiveness through proper use, and inspection and gauging techniques.
