Teacher-Research Fieldwork
Course Description:
Allows participants to conduct the independent research planned in ENG G603. Provides resources available for this research at the home institution including the participants’ individual teaching practices, course or departmental curriculum, the writing of their students and of students in other classes, the practices of other teachers and administrators, as well as published books, reports, and articles on composition. Provides for student to collect, collate, and interpret data according to the guidelines established at the institute and then prepare a project in which they present their findings. Usually given only through the Institute on Writing and Teaching at Martha’s Vineyard.
