Instructional Design
Course Description:
Offers a practical look at the function and application of instructional design in the corporate workplace. The premise for the course is that technical writers often have an opportunity to apply principles of instructional design to their work. Writers can apply instructional design techniques in a wide range of applications, such as tutorials, online training, computer-based training, or traditional instructor-led training. Offers students the opportunity to learn to assess training needs, write a training specification, plan a course, and design and write a single-module instructor/student guide. Students also deliver a module of the course and design a student feedback form to evaluate the effectiveness of their courseware.
