Includes soil formation, soil types, and processes that occur in soil including the importance of these processes for soil productivity and the management of soil. Also covers sources, reactions, transports, and fates of chemical species in soils and associated water and air environments, as well as the chemical behavior of elements and compounds and the phenomena affecting natural and anthropogenic materials in soils.
