Institute in Curriculum-Based Assessment and Instruction
Course Description:
Retired August 31, 2007. Provides an oppportunity to gain an understanding of, and competence in, the development of individualized intervention programs for children and youth in need of special education. Encourages participants to develop the skills to translate results of norm-referenced diagnostic assessments to curriculum-based or criterion- referenced assessments to determine goals for intervention and effective instructional strategies. Goals include understanding the limitations of assessments and developing the skills to design authentic and meaningful assessments that reflect student learning and drive instruction.
