Course Description:
Examines the problems of crime and its control from the vantage point of the comparative perspective. Students compare the crime and criminological issues of the United States with those found in other countries around the world. Examines both the incidence and type of crime across (and within) societies, as well as the operation of the criminal justice system in its attempts at social control and crime prevention.
