Advanced Fieldwork 2
Course Description:
Continues CAP G741. Provides students the opportunity, under supervision in a clinical setting, to develop clinical skills in assessment, consultation, and interventions. Designed to provide support and evaluation of the advanced fieldwork placement for second-year students. Uses a seminar format led by a faculty supervisor who is the official liaison between Northeastern University and the advanced fieldwork sites. Seeks to examine and support clinical work and examine systems issues within placement sites, which include but are not limited to administrative and supervisory issues. Students submit tapes and process notes of sessions, videotape role-playing, and critique the tapes and videos in terms of each student’s previously stated goals. Focuses group discussion on critical analysis and provision of a supportive atmosphere to explore treatment and systems issues.
