Course Title:
Interpreting Research Practicum
Course Description:
Requires students to undertake a research project focused on some aspect of American Sign Language-English interpretation. Students work in research teams (with approval) and may begin their research project once enrolled in ASL U510. In consultation with a faculty adviser, students select a research question, design and implement the data-collection component of the project, analyze results, and write up their research findings. In addition to a written report, students also present their research results to ASL majors at an annual “in-house” ASL research symposium.
