Course Description:
Introduces students to a) articulatory, perceptual, and linguistic aspects of speech sounds, and b) phonetic transcription of normal and disordered speech using the International Phonetic Alphabet. Includes lectures, discussions, laboratory exercises and demonstrations, readings, audiotape exercises, problem sets, quizzes, and examinations.
