Course Description:
Continues NUR G451. Builds on the clinical experience gained in previous adult primary-care courses. The student continues caring for patients in their respective panels, with emphasis on health problems particular to the aging client/family in the community and long-term-care facility. Weekly seminar discussions enhance verification and application of theory to problems related to gerontological primary health care. Stresses a greater emphasis on interdisciplinary role responsibility and enactment; policy issues affecting practice, access, and quality of care are integrated throughout the seminar discussions.
