Specialty Acute-Care Clinical Practicum
Course Description:
Designed to provide the student with in-depth, individualized experiences in the role of practitioner, educator, leader, and manager in a specialty area identified by the students and consistent with professional development goals. Facilitated by assignment to a nurse practitioner with a practice providing care to acute or critically ill adults, the student focuses on managing illness across the health-care continuum. Concurrent weekly seminars focus on the role of the acute-care nurse practitioner in a specialty area.
