Course Description:
Offers the second course in the graduate research sequence for the School of Nursing. Offers the student the opportunity to complete the application of the major steps in the research process. Exposes the student to needs assessments, outcomes evaluation, and research utilization to solve clinical problems encountered in the advanced practice role. The student is also a participant in a research practicum experience. Each student also has hands-on learning opportunities with a computerized data analysis program using actual data set. Course activities are aimed at assisting students to develop skills as an active participant/leader of a clinically based research project and as a leader in the utilization of research to improve nursing practice.
