Course Description:
Examines how law advances political justice and ensures that citizens are free and equal. After focusing on the theoretical problems of law, liberty, and morality in the United States, special emphasis is placed on attempts to render substantive justice in several areas of law, such as privacy and personal autonomy, freedom of thought, conscience and expression, and equal protection.
