Industrial Control Systems 1
Course Description:
Introduces operational safety. Examines the concept of the programmable logic controller (PLC) and its associated I/O elements. Works with various manufacturers PLCs while understanding coding concepts in relay ladder logic (RLL). Examines distributed I/O and its applications. Examines the concept of the variable frequency drive (VFD). Weekly student design projects are required as the concept of team design is utilized. A final team project is required.
